R.A.Desilets was born and raised in a small New Hampshire town. She attended Emerson College in Boston in 2005. She was a Resident Assistant for the Digital Culture Floor for two years. She graduate Emerson College in 2009 with a Bachelor's in Writing, Literature, and Publishing as well as TV/Video Production and a Photography minor with Magna Cum Laude standing.
She moved to Los Angeles in January 2009, originally with the Emerson College program. She worked with @Radical Media as an intern and worked on several music videos.
Although she enjoyed her time on set, she realized that television was not her passion.
She worked three part time jobs and landed a position at a business consulting firm. After a few years there, she was let go, but managed to land a post within the DGA-PPHP office as a Communications Editor. Being on the communications team puts her one step closer to what she wants: A full-time writing career. You can read her writing at radwrites.blogspot.com.
